Description
Lubrisolve Biodegradable EP2 Grease is a truly biodegradable multi-purpose extreme pressure grease suitable for a wide range of applications. It is based on a lithium/calcium soap thickener that incorporates non toxic solid lubricants, extreme pressure additives and a blend of anti-oxidants and corrosion inhibitors. This results in a highly effective lubricant with excellent corrosion protection.
Applications
The adhesive nature of Lubrisolve Biodegradable EP2 Grease makes it suitable for a wide range of applications for general purpose greasing of all types of bearings, including heavy-duty bearings in very wet and aggressive environments.
Other typical application environments include:
- dockside cranes
- drag lines
- water treatment plants
- lock gates
- other situations where a biodegradable lubricant is preferred for environmental reasons.
Lubrisolve Biodegradable EP2 Grease can be applied by hand, or by using a standard grease gun with cartridges (Lubrisolve Biodegradable EP2 Grease Cartridge 400g). Lubrisolve Biodegradable EP2 Grease may also be used on specific centralised grease lubrication systems where an NLGI Grade2 grease is recommended.
As with all greases used for the first time, check compatibility with the previously applied grease and, if necessary, purge bearings prior to application. As a general rule, take care not to over-lubrcate and apply the quantity of grease recommended by the bearing manufacturer.
Environmental Considerations
The ingredients used in the manufacture of Lubrisolve Biodegradable EP2 Grease are naturally occurring or readily biodegradable by micro-organisms, so making this product environmentally friendly when compared to conventional lubricants.
Water Resistant Properties
The use of this grease, and the water repellent film this it deposits, ensures long life in the particular application - extends lubrication intervals. Lubrisolve Biodegradable EP2 Grease has excellent dewatering properties and can be applied in all weathers, directly to wet surfaces. it is very resistant to water wash off.
